About Midwest Access Coalition
The Midwest Access Coalition (MAC) envisions a world in which all people have access to safe, free, legal abortions wherever they live. As a practical abortion fund, MAC helps people traveling to, from, and within the Midwest access a safe, legal abortion by assisting with travel coordination and costs, lodging, food, medicine, and emotional support.
MAC is always looking for volunteers to add to their team, and donations to allow them to continue to assist clients.

Minnesota Abortion Funds
Our Justice has always worked to provide people with the resources they need now, while also advocating for policy change that would make these resources more available and remove many of these challenges altogether. Founded in 1967 by a small group of doctors, clergy, and community members to assist Minnesota women in accessing abortion care, Our Justice continues to support people’s reproductive and sexual human rights through:
SPIRAL Collective provides free, compassionate, affirming support for all family planning and pregnancy experiences. In particular, we are committed to eliminating barriers to abortion access by honoring bodily autonomy and collective liberation. We accomplish this by providing trauma-informed practical abortion support and through community-based education and organizing. To promote reproductive justice, we center the experiences of marginalized communities in our leadership and our programming. For us, reproductive justice means all people have the means necessary to access the information, resources, and emotional, physical, social, and political support they need, to be who they are and create and sustain the types of families and communities they desire.
The H.O.T.D.I.S.H. Militia exists to ensure reproductive freedom, body autonomy and abortion access for all people in the Northland. To accomplish this goal, the Militia provides financial support, community education, and engages in political action.
The H.O.T.D.I.S.H. Militia is a partner of the Women's Health Center in Duluth, MN. This committee exists to break down the barriers that stand in the way of obtaining abortions and claiming the right of each individual to reign over their own uterus.
Wisconsin Abortion Funds
Options Fund
The Options Fund was founded in 1992 and grew out of a local pro-choice coalition called Chippewa Valley Citizens for Choice (CVCC). It is an all-volunteer abortion fund that works to help women in an area of the state where there are no abortion providers. Women living in this part of the state not only have to face the cost of the abortion, but also the cost of travel. The Options Fund believes that finances should never play a role in a woman’s decision whether or not to continue a pregnancy.
Women’s Medical Fund (WMF) provides financial assistance to people in Wisconsin who need abortions and cannot afford the full cost. As an all-volunteer, 501c3 nonprofit organization, WMF has been ensuring access to abortion since 1972, helping Wisconsinites around the state access the healthcare they need. Wisconsin has some of the most restrictive barriers to abortion in the US, and WMF provides community care to fill urgent gaps in access.
Freedom Fund
The Freedom Fund is an all-volunteer organization established in 1997 to assist Wisconsin women who are seeking to terminate an unwanted pregnancy but cannot afford the entire cost of an abortion. Wisconsin has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nationpoor and rural women are particularly affected by these laws, making the Freedom Fund a critical resource for women in this state. The tight knit group of volunteers donate their own funds for all operating costs.
The right to choose an abortion is meaningless without access to abortion services.

Fountain Street Church
Choice Fund
The Fountain Street Church Choice Fund is a privately-funded program that provides grants to low-income women seeking abortion services. It was founded, and endures, based on the qualities of compassion, appreciation, and respect...
Compassion for the women and families who face unintended pregnancies
Appreciation for the difficult circumstances with which they struggle
Respect for their capacity and their fundamental right to make their own decisions regarding pregnancy
Because this is a privately-funded program and not part of the regular church budget, we depend on donations from individuals like you to support these women, their families, and their right to choose. To date, the Choice Fund has helped over 5,000 women. It is only through your private donations that this critical service continues to exist.

A member of the Feminist Abortion Network, the Emma Goldman Clinic is a nonprofit organization founded in 1973 by a group of feminist idealists who strove for political, economic, and social equality for their clients. The Emma Goldman Clinic recognizes that for many women, access to safe, quality, healthcare is hindered by low income, a dangerous home situation, or the inability to use family insurance for abortion, and has established the Access Fund to help ensure that all women can get the care they need.
If you have an appointment for an abortion at the Emma Goldman Clinic in Iowa City, the deProsse Access Fund can help you pay for your procedure. Ask about the deProsse Access Fund when you make your appointment.

The Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF) provides financial support to people needing assistance paying for an abortion. We support reproductive freedom, autonomy, and justice.
Indiana Abortion Funds
Getting an abortion in Indiana is difficult – and thanks to our lawmakers, it’s not getting any easier. That’s why we started the first statewide community-based abortion fund in Indiana. We can help you pay for medical care, transportation, child care, and other expenses related to obtaining an abortion.
Ohio Abortion Funds
Women Have Options (WHO/O) is Ohio’s statewide abortion fund. Founded in 1992, they are an organization dedicated to helping Ohioans afford their reproductive choices. They believe that everyone should be able to make their own reproductive decisions—and they work to make that a reality in Ohio. They are a founding member of the National Network of Abortion Funds, which includes more than 100 abortion funds around the United States and overseas.
WHO/O provides financial assistance and practical support (transportation/ housing/ etc) to help patients afford contraception, emergency contraception, and abortion services. If you are getting an abortion at Preterm Clinic in Cleveland, this fund can help provide a discount. Ask about financial assistance when you make your appointment. Preterm is Ohios largest abortion clinic and one of the largest in the country, a national leader in patient-centered care with a reputation for excellence. They were founded in 1973 shortly after the Roe v. Wade decision, and opened their doors in 1974. Today, theyre a licensed ambulatory surgical center with a staff of nearly 50 medical and administrative professionals. Preterm also takes a stand against environmental health threats to women, families, and communities by being a green clinic, reducing their impact on our fragile planet.

Kansas Abortion Funds
In 1996, a handful of friends started a phone tree to help provide information and funds to people in the community who were in need of abortion services. As the need became more and more apparent, the fund became a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We are now an affiliate of NNAF, the National Network of Abortion Funds (abortionfunds.org), a dynamic network of grassroots abortion funds raising money to ensure that all women and girls can get the abortions they seek.
In 2019, we changed our name from the Peggy Bowman Second Chance Fund to the Kansas Abortion Fund in order to be more clear about our services. We’re taking this opportunity to make our language more gender-inclusive, because we know people of many genders have abortions. We still honor Peggy Bowman and all of our founders. For more information, check out our Peggy Bowman informational page.
The mission of the Kansas Abortion Fund is to assist all Kansans in need of financial support to obtain abortion services.
Missouri Abortion Funds
Our mission at Missouri Abortion Fund (MoAF) (formerly Gateway Women’s Access Fund) is to provide public education and support for people needing reproductive health services, primarily by providing financial assistance to Missouri residents who cannot afford the full cost of abortion care.
MoAF works directly with clinics on behalf of the people we serve. When a clinic we work with sees a patient who needs assistance, MoAF is a potential funding source to which they turn for a portion of the cost. The clinic then bills us for the amount we commit to covering.
We do not offer counseling and do not provide direct personal grants, but the clinics that we work with do. Currently we have agreements with The Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City, IL, Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, and Planned Parenthood Great Plains serving the Kansas City region. We seek to establish agreements with any abortion providers serving Missourians in need.
